Q: What is the Studio K Company Team?
​A: Our Company Team is a group of dedicated dancers who train and perform together throughout the season, traveling to regional and national dance competitions. It's a fun and rewarding experience that builds confidence, skill, and lasting friendships!
Q: What is the time commitment for being on the team?
​A: Team members are required to attend regular weekly classes, rehearsals, and additional practices leading up to competitions. It's a bigger commitment than recreational classes, but the experience is incredibly fulfilling and team focused. Detailed information will be given at our parent info night and the day of auditions!
Q: How often does the team travel?
​A: Our teams typically attend 3-5 regional competitions during the season, 1-2 conventions, and 1 national competition during the summer.
Q: Do dancers need to audition to join?
A: Yes, all potential team members must participate in auditions to ensure proper team placement and readiness. Auditions are usually held once a year in the summer, check our website or social media for upcoming dates!
Q: What age groups are eligible to join?
A: We offer competition teams for a variety of age groups, typically starting at age 4 and up. Placement is based on age, skill level, and commitment.
Q: What are the financial commitments involved?
A: Being on the Company Team includes additional costs for tuition, costumes, entry fees, travel expenses, and possible workshops or conventions. A detailed breakdown is provided to parents before the season begins to help families plan accordingly. Our company team will host several fundraisers throughout the season to help offset costs for our families.
